James Yorkston, the gentleman-songwriter of the East Neuk of Fife, has released (with or without The Athletes) a series of albums of tenderness and melody, insight and empathy. His eye for the details in life and the richness of his brogue make a Yorkston song instantly recognisable.. He is also a fine novelist whose latest work, The Book of the Gaels has recently come out to great reviews.
At Laugharne he will be appearing twice, playing a set of songs, and reading from the new novel.
