The content is not behind a paywall but The Nerve needs paying subscribers to fund the journalism which costs money to produce.
The founders are senior editors Sarah Donaldson, Jane Ferguson and Imogen Carter, creative directors Lynsey Irvine and Carole Cadwalladr - investigative journalist, press freedom advocate and scourge of extreme Brexiteers - who all worked together on The Observer’s New Review before the title was given away.
