Rona Mac (she/her) is a self-invented, genre-fusing, DIY singer- songwriter from rural West Wales. She crafts guitar driven tracks which provide a hooky bed for her distinct vocals and sophisticated lyricism, resulting in wholesome, lo-fi indie-pop with a generous nod to folk and blues sounds.

Her music comes unfiltered and full of feeling, as she says “If I can talk about things we've been told we shouldn't, and help people connect to feelings they tucked away in their teens, then I'll be happy when I'm old”.

Rona Mac's new single 'Polidics' takes her home-production to a new level, fusing her unique sound with new, dance-able zest. This track is the first single from an EP due out in March 2022. The track speaks of frustration at the way things are with consumerism, class and power, ending with a vision where “we'll rise, a bunch of honest creatures fill the skies”. This simultaneously punchy and ethereal break into the second phase of the song is coloured with toothy guitar licks and 80s groove.

Rona Mac has recently finished her latest music tour in October, playing at Focus Wales Showcase, Sŵn Fest, Half moon Putney, Clwb Ifor Bach and more. Other recent highlights include New York's CMJ music marathon, plays on BBCRadio6 and Radio Wales, and the success of debut album 'Sheelah'.
